Established in the year 1979 as a separate department for teaching homoeopathic medical science at Karpoori Thakur Mahavidyalaya and applied to Bihar University, Muzzaffarpur for its affiliation. The college stared in the year 1981 under Principal Dr. S. P. Singh and managed by the Governing body in the name Motihari, Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital Outdoor Hospital was established in the name of the donor Late Mahaveer Prasad Charitable Outdoor Hospital.

The R. D. Kedia Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Motihari is a premier institution in eastern india, state of Bihar and is being managed by the strenuous efferts of the management & college staffs The college imparts education through 5 years 6 months degree course in Homoeopathy.
